I like how banks can justify changing time and space to allow you to be shafted right up the arse.

For example, I had money on the 31st of May, I spent it on the 31st of May. I then had bank charges on the 1st of June. But they put it down as 31st of May, which then put my account in to arrears on the 31st of May, even though we’re in June (are you following), then they charged me a “card misuse fee” which is quite interesting considering I’ve got a Solo which quite promptly takes funds out of my account same day.

I call them. They justify it by explaining that although I had money, I didn’t because they had these charges on the 31st, which showed up on my account on the 1st and that the card transaction I made was actually processed on the 1st, although it was really made on the 31st and taken same day.

Whatever. So now not only am I £35 out of pocket, but I’ve been charged £37 (Poss £70) for going ‘overdrawn’ and now bouncing my car insurance, because they’ve charged me the £35 card misuse.

So it looks like I’ll need to pull £600+ out of my ass next month when my car insurance is up for renewal as Direct Line is 150% likely not to allow me to pay monthly as I’ve bounced 3+ direct debits.

Great. TIME TO MAKE THE SUICIDE.
